Castlegate can provide up to two individuals to act as professional independent directors of companies as well as the ability for the company itself to act as a corporate director. The two directors are both resident in the British Virgin Islands and are insured.
Independence:
Independence has become an important and essential element of a funds board of directors. Many stock exchanges require that a fund seeking to list has independent directors. From a shareholders perspective, a director or director(s) who have no executive relationship with the fund’s investment manager, advisor or any of its other service providers (e.g. fund administrator, attorney or auditor) are able to offer investors with a truly independent and impartial service, thereby maintaining both the funds and the shareholders interests at all time.
Fees:
Offshore Directorship fees are competitive with those within the industry and based on a number of factors including type and size of fund (e.g. stand alone, multi-class, segregated portfolio company) investment objectives, trading strategies and the overall risk profile of the fund.
